HAPPY BIRTHDAY SASS!!!!!!!So sorry I didn't write a real email last week. We spent like 5 hours in the internet center because the light kept going out and we had nowhere else to go. So by the time we finally emailed I forgot to write an actual email... oops. This week was for sure a good one. Tuesday the fridge man came over so we had to stay in for a little bit:( but on the bright side we actually have a fridge now! Living the high life! This week was a lot more contacting to find new investigators but so far it has not been highly successful. But the way I see it, if we contact a million people but only come out with one investigator, then we have one more investigator than we had before. And the rama (branch) isn't giving references so we don't actually have another choice.

| "I call this coco on the Gua Gua" |
We saw a miracle this week. We have this investigator named Gregory who is 16 and can't read but he has so much deseo (desire) and has been to church 4 times and seminary a whole bunch. When we teach him he literally remembers nothing. We would say something like "Jose Smith was a prophet" and then we would ask him who Jose smith was and he couldn't tell us. BUT we have been praying for him a lot and he has the apoyo of the whole rama, it's awesome. Tuesday we went and he picked up everything so quick. We explain things a little more simply of course but the fact that he can tell us about the apostasy and restoration is a miracle. Later we found out that the members we go with have been going back and going over stuff again with him, having him repeat and explain things. Seriously one of the cooler experiences of my mission. To see someone who has so much faith and desire to be on the receiving end of so many prayers and so much service.

| I call this CRAZY dangerous! I think she purposely had someone take the picture as she drove by just to make me cringe. |
Wednesday we had intercombios with Hermana Lineras who is an hermana leader and also from Mexico. Homemade tortillas and bean burritos... so good. Wednesday I had a run in with an old testigo missionary couple from Canada. He yelled at me from across the park "are you an English speaker too??" He also thought we were testigos. He was a little less friendly after I invited him to church but it's okay. We are doing a lot of family history work with the rama because we have a temple trip coming up. Let me tell you, it's the best. You all should do family history work because it's super cool. We are so excited because I think we will be able to go and Oly, Gabriel, Almando, Joel and Lenoardo will all be there. I am feeling super blessed that I am still here to have the chance to go with them. So by far the best part about this week was the baptisms of Jo and Leo. Jo is the brother of a guy in our ward and is 12 and Leo is 19. They are the BEST. They are both pretty young but they have so much deseo to do good and have such great testimonies. It's really such a blessing to see the gospel change people's lives especially when they are people you come to care a lot about. It was such a special experience, one of the best baptisms I have had. And a ton of the rama was there so it was just really great. The great thing about the mission is that we get to experience miracles every day. In Alma 37 it talks about how by small and simple things great things some to pass and I truly believe that. Every day we contact, teach a lot of the same lessons, walk a lot of streets. But the little miracles we see every day, when someone lets us in, or accepts a fecha or reads a tiny bit in the folleto... these tiny miracles bring to pass great things like baptisms. That's why the mission is so great. Because we know the tiny things count and so we are able to recognize the miracles even when they are small. I am so grateful to be here. Also, today I have ten months. Where is the time going ahhhhhh? No me gusta. Pero les amo mucho y espero que tengan una semana muy jevi. Adios!I met someone named Jesucito this week... aka lil Jesus. One of the better Dominican names in my opinion.
