This week was a little crazy, hanging out at president's house, zone conference, interviews, intercambios... so turns out we only got to work for like 2 days in our area. One of the days we had another awesome lesson with elder Cornish... Piantini is a little bit difficult at times but lessons with general authorities totally make it worth it. Also, Elder Holland is coming this week to meet with the government and one night is having a noche de hogar (Family Home Evening) at the A.'s house who live in our area... We have been doing a lot of scheming and I think we have come up with the perfect plan to crash it.
We are doing a lot of contacting these days but we are actually seeing a lot of cool things happen. We committed 2 people to going to church this week. Saturday night during a lesson they both called us and we were super nervous and called them back. Turns out they were just calling to tell us they were still planning on going to church... and they both went! We are pretty excited about them both. One of them is a Haitian man and the other is Y. who used to be Muslim, has two kids and is super excited to learn. But, we just found out the really yunmmy juice she has been giving us for 3 weeks is actually ice tea..........oops? We really had no idea and we don't really know if we need to confess that to anyone but we repented and our next lesson is the word of wisdom. So exciting things are happening in Piantini.
We had a meeting with the bishop and we are coming up with a plan to work with the members. We want to inspire them and cause a missionary movement. We think it could be super awesome because we have such strong members. One of our ideas was from a scripture in Samuel "as for me and my FAMILY we will serve the lord". How lucky we are to know that families can be together forever. How lucky we are to have the gospel in our lives. I love you all... find someone to share the gospel with this week!
