Promises from a 70

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all doing fantastic! So Monday we went to the FZ's  for lunch and M taught us how to make moro with guandules (so good) and dominican espeguettis (also good). We taught Al and he is still on track for baptism, so yay! Later we made a banana cream pie because we are trying to figure something out for Thanksgiving.

Tuesday we started teaching Ma with G's book and it worked so great! So now it is the book for deaf people and small children. Then we went and taught menos activo St and her funny niece Wi who's dad is super cool. He is 7 feet tall and has really fluffy hair and we really want to teach him. Later we went to Ev who had written on her BOM Evy + Dios. #1 soo cute! #2 Evy what? Apparently we have been saying and spelling her name wrong this whole time. Wednesday, district meeting in padre las casas and we made a chololate pudding pie with oreos. Just another tester for Thanksgiving. We went to Ma again and she is learning so much! yay, Which is really great actually because her baptism is this Saturday. We kind of had a rough day because NO ONE was home. It really was the worst. But we found a really cute new menos activa named Is so that was good. Later we went to music class but no one showed so we just sat and talked and ate fried platano chips. Later we did surgery on HUishs toe and she was screaming bloody murder. I felt so bad! Later we found out that girls usually go to the capital to have that done. Like with a real doctor and numbing and stuff....

Thursday the hermana leader came and we had a trio for the day. Bad news, day two of no one being in their houses. I mean we did find people but we did a lot of walking around. Oli, mom of K$ went on for 20 minutes about how she really wants to get married so she can get baptized! Okay miracles happen. We hadn't even taught her law of chastity yet. Now they just need to come to church, but we are headed in the right direction. Friday we found people were in their houses. We taught Ma and after Ly gave us each huge plates of food which was actually bad because I was sick. But really nice of her. We went to Yo and talked more about Castidad and she still refuses to get married:( we are so sad because we absolutely love her. We asked her to pray about it and we have been praying so hard for her to have a change of heart. Then we went to a ward baptism  and it was so great! While we were at the church the assistants called and told us they found us pumpkin!!!!! We did a  happy dance all around the capilla. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are going to have a real Pumpkin pie.

Saturday=more sick. Basically i just feel nauseous all the time and can't eat. Good thing is I can still work and stuff. I just have to sit down sometimes. We went to Azua for the leadership part of stake conference and it was so great. President and a member of the 70 and some other people spoke and it was really focused on missionary work and how the members have the biggest part. Which really is so true so I hope all of you are helping the missionaries a ton. Or at least feeding them a lot:) That night at about 12:30 a frantic Hermana Hernandez shook us awake and told us Hermana Moronta was really sick and we had to go to the hospital. I was still so asleep but we had to call a million people and wake up our neighbor to take us to the hospital (when we woke him up he said "oh my gosh" in English and it was pretty funny). Anyway we speedy quick went to the hospital and then another hospital but they couldn't find anything wrong with her and all the sudden she was fine so we went home and went to bed at like 4. Got up, went to conferecne in Azua with our branch. So many more great talks. We are so blessed to have such great leaders in Azua. After, Elder Dominguez, a member of the 70, came up to Huish and I and just stared at us for like 30 seconds. Then his eyes filled with tears and he told us how special we are and how we will receive great rewards after the mission through our husbands and families... which I am pretty sure directly translates to a really hot husband. And I think coming from a 70 it must have been revelation. So then we found out that our gua gua left us.

Later we went to G's and his mom was there but Gwas SO sad:( He told us he was sad because his mom and his brother are leaving him again:(:(:( okay you guys know how much I love him but this seriously breaks our hearts. Someone should really adopt Gabriel and teach him how to talk and hear and have a normal life. Then we went to Oy and taught her about the temple. She is so great and she told us again that she wants to go on a mission- yay for Oy! She seriously has been a huge blessing in my life. So that's basically all, a pretty slow week but still great.
Thanks for all the packages everyone! Especially the halloween package from dad's family. You guys are the best!
This week we have Ma's baptism and this Sunday we get transfer calls... ahhh! I am freaking out. Also Wednesday I hit 8 months, so crazy how the time flies. Hope you guys are all doing great and have a great Thanksgiving. Love you!
