Roof Bonfire

Okay so this week was crazy. We had a lesson with a crazy Evangelical who randomly was the sister of another crazy Evangelical we had already tried to teach.. small world.   We worked a lot with gr. he has a testimony already but hasn't even come to church. We had to do "practices" with him.  Like I pretended to be his coach, uncle and abuela and we did role plays. Like what he would say if they asked him to do something on Sunday. It was pretty funny. Al is still doing great. Fecha is still on for dia 14.   We had an awesome lesson with Ma and she remembered everything.  after, we had to call Quiroga and put her baptism back on for Saturday. (we were going to postpone it because we thought she wasn't ready). Anyway, we had to teach her castidad (law of chastity) so we asked her mom to explain it and she said the ley de castidad was that you couldn't wear shirts that were too low or mini shorts. Okay no.  Then we had to explain it for real and it was awkward because her parents aren't actually married.

She had her interview Wednesday and she was so nervous she couldn't even tell Quiroga anything.  But he understood and we finally got her to answer some questions. Then he gave her a blessing and after that she was in love with him. It was soo funny.  She asked us if he could baptize her and every time she said his name she giggled and blushed. So, she was baptized on Saturday and it was really special. In all of her prayers in all of her lessons she would always say that she really wanted to get baptized. It's really cute. She's adorable. After, she bore a really sweet testimony which was a big deal because she is really shy. We also had a lesson this week with Fr who is menos acitvo again, ugh, but only because he had a bad haircut and had verguenza (shame). But it's okay.  Later in the week he rounded up all of his menos activo friends and made them have a lesson with us. He's the best.

We Might have to quitar Yo because she doesn't want to get married:(  Ev is just as cute as ever. This week she asked us if she could get baptized. when we asked her when and she said "not this Thursday but the next"... she's adorable. we had to explain to her she had to learn a lot more and then we put her date for the fourth of January. Also she asked us for the rules about sexual purity (aka the castidad folleto). apparently she had read it at a girls (recent convert) house and really liked it.  Seriously, she's great.  And she came to church! Thanksgiving was awesome and our pie was beautiful. So we went to this menos activo named Ir.  We started sharing and we asked her why she didn't come to church. She was giving us all these excuses... typical. but THEN the real IS walks up and sits down and we were like errr awkward.  We had actually been talking to her sister who looks like her twin but is actually not a member. Embarrassing!   Gr came to church, yayy! He left after one hour though because his whole team was waiting for him to go running.  How cute. He is going to get baptized, I know it.

Anyway, that's about all. Last night we had a bonfire on our roof while waiting for transfer calls.  We roasted hot dogs (is that literal?) and it was so fun.... but the news is I am staying and Huish is leaving:(:( we are so sad! I seriously am so glad she was my companion and I am sad we can't be together for longer and  for Christmas and all that.  We don't know who our companions are yet or where she is going but we will find out tonight.... eek! anyway, 3-ish weeks until we talk. Cant wait! love you all and happy birthday to mom!
