Quick update on Pianitni. Y. gave us a reference. YEAH, best investigator of the year award. She called us and told us she had watched the restoration movie with her friend and she loved it. We went to her house and her friend was there and she talked about how much she loved the movie and asked a million questions. Tuesday night we decided to take bishop's advice and pierce our ears... I got one needle through and decided I look weird with holes in my ears. So I'll just have to wear clip-ons for my wedding (nothing in the near future I hope.) Then Hermana Huish tried... got halfway through and her face was green. So long story short, neither of us have pierced ears. Y. is doing great. Reading in all the books and manuals. R., the viejo we teach with Elder Cornish is also great. He is reading the book of Mormon super fast and I think he will finish before I do. He's so intellectual it's crazy and a lot of times he says things I don't understand. Elder Cornish left this week for a month in Utah so we are a little nervous but It's the Spirit that counts so we will be okay.
We are working with this menos activo named M.. Well she is super old and sassy and we are trying to work with her to go to the temple but she says she can't because she doesn't want to get her hair wet... Dominicans these days. So we didn't see elder Holland so we decided to write him notes. When we went to take them to the Anderson's house we left them at the desk and the front door guy told us that elder Holland was in their apartment at that very instant. We were so tempted but the spirit told us it wasn't a wise idea. But when Elder Holland mentions the DR in his next conference talk we know why. One day this week we had 0 plans but we had the best day ever and found like 6 new investigatos. That's like 6 more than we have had all transfer. We are so stoked!
Hermana Gomez leaves tomorrow and we are sooo sad. Last night we threw here a surprise party at the house of C. R., literally the greatest member in the world. She told us the story of how she met her husband and I had tears rolling down my face. So we took over a nice cake last night and then left. When we came back, she had Dominican decorated the cake and frosted a cookie to look like Hermana Gomez's face. So great! Anyway, we are going to have a sleepover tonight with pizza and popcorn and 17 miracles in honor of Hermana Gomez. See you all in 99 days. Love you! Hermana Rush sr.
