This week was ultra crazy because we were working in three areas and walked a million miles a day. I finished Jesus the Christ which is an awesome book that everyone should read. I seriously learned so much about the life of Christ. But now I am only reading the book of Mormon and I am going to try to finish it within the next couple of weeks. It depends on how busy we are. Right now I am reading in Alma but I just read in Mosiah about king Benjamin's address. I love it every time! I really like Mosiah 2:9 which says hearken unto me, open your ears that you may hear and your hearts that ye may understand or something like that. I love that because it is truly by the spirit that we teach and learn. Sometimes when I talk in lessons I am pretty sure they don't understand me, but they feel the spirit and that's what matters most.
We got all of our new stuff this week and we are basically living in luxury. We even got a waffle iron so we have made waffles like every day. N&W are doing great. They are still struggling a lot but the great thing is they love the gospel and they know it will bless their lives. We told them yesterday that the rama (Branch) could help them out with food once in awhile but they said no. They said they love the gospel but they don't want to abuse our friendship and they don't want handouts. They told us how much they appreciate us and our friendship. They told us they pray for us and our families all they time and they never want us to leave, but when we do leave they are going to email and call us every week. Then we told them about transfers and they freaked out and N was crying. Last night they called us 7 times to see if we had heard anything about transfers. They are the best! It's hard because only one of us is going to continue working with them and it will probably be hermana D. I will still see them once in awhile but I am still super super sad. They are such a blessing in our lives and such an inspiration to us. They just love learning. Most of our investigators don't ever read the foyettos (pamphlets) but theyread them like 6 times before we come back and take notes. They are so great!
G did not come to church which we were sad about. But she has got a crazy life so we understand. We have been working with lots of menos activos like usual. In church on Sunday in the pueblo one lady who lives there just told us and everyone how much everyone in Parra appreciates us going up there. She said everyone just feels loved and appreciated and have so much more animo for the church. Also this week hermana DL came with her companion and we did an intercombio (splits)which was really fun. I always love those because it helps me remember that I actually know a lot more Spanish than I think.
So transfers are this week and I am going to be companions with Hermana B, hermana D's other daughter (trainee)! It will be super fun and I am really excited. Today, we got to go to the capital because hermana D is training again so she has to pick up her new daughter tomorrow. We got to see Hermana Jorgenson, Safer and Burhley and tomorrow we will see a bunch more people! It has seriously been the greatest day ever and I am so grateful I got to see them. I am out of time but I love you all! Hermana Rush
