Farewell Presidente

Hi everyone¡ Like always, I don't have have much time and this will be a little short. So last Monday we had a really fun p-day and played volleyball with our zone. So much fun¡ On the way there I got chased and then  hugged by two really sweaty Dominican baseball players who kept calling me barbie. It was a little gross and then I invited them to be baptized and they ran away. Always does the trick. One day this week we had literally no plans. We called everyone we knew and nothin'. But somehow we had the best day ever. We went out with a member and taught Frank and Alex who is going to the states to play baseball and Carina, the member, has a car so we didn't even have to walk HALLELUJAH. We felt really blessed. Also, we got a phone call from a lady and the first thing she said was... am I talking to Rus or Melgar?... then she went on to say that she has gone to church for a long time, all her kids who are adults are members, she is taking a book of Mormon class at the institute and that everyone has a time in their lives and that her time came and she just moved into our area wants to be baptized.... we thought, okay their are two options.  It's a joke or God really loves us. big news, GOD LOVES US. Wow!  I don't know how we have been so blessed in this area.
Another day we had an amazing lesson with a family in the house of a member family. Lemme tell ya, members make the hugest difference. We invited them to be baptized and they said YES¡ Afterwards the son played the piano for us and he is professional. WHY DIDN'T I PRACTICE??? Thursday we had zone conference... big news... president and Hermana Rodriguez are leaving this Wednesday. So sad¡ Apparently before they became misison presidents they lived in canada (who knew???) and that they had problems with their residency and if they don't go back this week they lose their status. We were supposed to get a new president in July so he is coming early the 23 of May.  So until then we are orphans. Just kidding.  His first counselor is going to take over for a month, but how sad! Everyone was crying. I have one last leadership meeting with them tomorrow before they leave but we are all pretty bummed.
Yesterday we finally contacted senora Abraham, a reference of Brother Johnson. She is crazy in a good way and super awesome. She said we had 15 mintues to share and we ended up staying for two hours. We read the proclamation to the world and ended up talking about the family and chasitiy and the word of wisdom and the book of mormon and a ton of other stuff. She isn't exaclty religious but she has seen the families of the church and she wants that for her kids. I think she is going to progress slowly but she knows she wants it and said she is willing to do what it takes. Also we have been working with a menos activo fmaily and they showed up to church. We are seeing them change and it has been the coolest thing. This week was especially great. Also, today I got a letter in spanish from someone who is waiting for me. Who knows, maybe I will get married and live here forever. Haha. Thank you all for the letters. I love you a lot¡

This is the email she received from some guy that is enamored with her.
estoy pendiente, esperando que termines la mission y esperando que respondas mi pedido de conocernos mas profundamene, oro para que estas bien, y, tengas un porción del santo espíritu, i wait at you, and i hope say yes
