3 Baptism Dates

Hola mi familia¡ This week was definitely a good one. Biggest news of the week... we put TWO fechas (baptism dates). Which is a big deal because usually this area has 0 fechas, but now we have three. So now W. and Y. both have fechas (baptism dates) for the 26 of July. Ya, in 3 weeks. We are pretty excited and it might be a lot of work to get them ready but so worth it because they are both great. We are seeing a lot of progress in our area and we know God is preparing a lot of people so we are trying to find them. We contacted this great older couple the other day. They were super nice and gave us a ton of food and chocolate and food to take home and a mosquito zapper which is like the best thing ever. She is "catholic" just like the rest of the D.R. and he just believes in God so that's exciting.

We also have this investigator named E. who is super catholic also, but we have been reading the BOM with her. At first she didn't want to read it and now, after 3 months, she knows that it's true and that Nefi was a prophet. We are still working on helping her realize that she should go to our church but we are hopeful. The other night we contacted and had a lesson with an Adventista man who is a sculpture. When we saw a giant thumb statue in his yard we should have run. Long story short he was  really rude and we ended the lesson in tears but he helped me realize that I need to study the bible more.

I had a meeting with the President Nuckols on Thursday which was awesome because they just got back from their seminar with the apostles and prophet. I definitely left feeling very inspired to be a better missionary. The Nuckols are the best and we got pizza and brownies for lunch instead of rice and chicken. Not that I don't love rice and chicken. I had to turn in my avioncito which is the paper with all the information so that they can book my flight.   but I will be happy to see all your lovely faces. Anyway, be expecting an email with my flight soon¡ It's so crazy how fast the time has gone by. Last night we were at the ccm and we talked to some girls who have 4 days... I feel like that was just barely me. We have found a lot of great new investigators this week and W. came to church yay¡ Last night we went to the Kanyangas again. Wow, they are the best, and so inspiring. They know French and Korean and got called Spanish speaking and have given everything to be here.  I might need to go to Korea to visit them next summer. Anyway, thanks for everything. Love you all¡ Hermana Madison Rush
